THE City Government of Zamboanga rolled out Saturday, November 13, the Local Social Amelioration Program (LSAP) for the members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) amid the health pandemic. Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar said the grant of LSAP forms part of the City Government’s program to provide financial assistance to help cushion the effect of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic. Salazar said there are 1,444 identified recipients of LSAP for the LGBT coming from 29 villages of Zamboanga City. “They were identified by their respective organization in their barangays,” Salazar said. She said the City Government has allocated some P2.1 million as each of the identified recipients received P1,500.
