TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan’s fifth annual march in support of transgender rights will be held in Taipei on Oct. 27. The event organizer, Taiwan Tongzhi (LGBTQ+) Hotline Association, said the march will take at 6:30 p.m. on a Friday evening at Ximending’s Red House. “Gender based on physical differences at birth requires all of us to abide by a set of norms in appearance, speech and behavior, but not everyone can adapt to this classification” the group said. “In addition to inviting friends who are transgender and support transgender issues, we also want to invite people who have felt uncomfortable in life because of frameworks of gender bianries, and all people who want to feel free to be themselves,” the group said.
