A row has broken out over public funding of almost £2 million for LGBT Youth Scotland, a teenage gay and transgender charity. The group’s accounts filed at Companies House show that in the 12 months to March 31 it drew in £1.8 million in funding and donations from the SNP government, local authorities and NHS health boards as well as trusts and foundations. The government gave £485,000 via the Equalities & Human Rights Fund, Delivering Equally Safe Fund, and the National Voluntary Youth Work Organisations Support Fund.
