Trans and queer protesters were pinned to the ground by police, handcuffed, and arrested Saturday at Glasgow Pride. The protesters, who carried signs with anti-police slogans, were attempting to block the parade at the beginning of its route in objection to the fact that Scottish officers were allowed to march at the front. “No pride in the police,” they shouted. A scuffle ensued when police attempted to move the protesters to the side of the street. At least three of these protesters were taken into police custody and later released.
