South African LGBT activists are trying to stop anti-gay American pastor Steven Anderson from entering Africa's most gay-friendly country next month. Anderson plans to attend the "Soul-Winning Marathon" in Johannesburg September 18, according to representatives of All Out and Hendrik Baird, a gay station manager at Gay SA Radio. Anderson was in the news recently for celebrating the June 12 massacre at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida that left 49 people dead. He reportedly told congregants at his Arizona-based Faithful Word Baptist Church that there are now "50 less pedophiles in this world."
