Sexual minorities and their supporters in Taiwan have paraded through the streets of Taipei to promote equality and civil rights. The annual parade, now in its 15th year, is touted as one of Asia's largest events for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, collectively known as LGBT. The organizers say a record 123,000 people marched on Saturday. Civil rights groups from across Taiwan attended, along with same-sex couples from Japan, the United States and elsewhere.
