In the wake of Britain’s Brexit from the EU and by David Cameron’s resignation – Theresa May, is set to step into Number 10 as our country’s second woman Prime Minister. Ms May entered the commons as Maidenhead’s elected MP in 1997 and climbed the political ladder eventually becoming Home Secretary in 2010. After Andrea Leadsom’s abrupt resignation from the leadership race yesterday, the top job has now been guaranteed for her. As this has all come about rather quickly – Originally a final decision wasn’t meant to happen until September – we thought it would be a good idea to have a look at Ms May’s record voting on LGBT rights.
