Increasingly homophobic and transphobic rhetoric by political and religious leaders in Indonesia has caused growing hostility towards lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex Indonesians.
Arus Pelangi, a national federation supporting LGBTI human rights in Indonesia, has responded quickly by establishing a temporary safe house in Jakarta for human rights defenders under threat and other emergency support services for LGBTI Indonesians in need. But they need your help to continue these efforts to provide additional emergency assistance in the months ahead.
